Wanna know one of my BIG secrets to landing opportunities? It’s saying YES to them. And even before saying yes to them, it’s being OPEN to them. Many of us go about life unknowingly blocking ourselves from opportunities due to fear of stretching. We are afraid that if the opportunity arises (that we REALLY want), it will be too hard or scary. And the easiest way to avoid the scary is blocking ourselves from the opportunities.
Mamahood in Biz Part II
Happy Tuesday Confident Ladies!
Although this blog post may seem geared toward mothers, it is really for ALL of you who are in some type of transition in your life. Maybe you recently had a break up and are learning new normals. Maybe you have a loved one who is experiencing health issues. Maybe you yourself are experiencing health issues. Whichever season we are in in life, we are always needing this lesson of surrender.
Mamahood in Biz Part I
Hi Confident Lady!
A few weeks back I was a part of something called The Imperfect Boss Movement. This was spearheaded by my dear friend Ashley Beaudin to help shine a light on the beautifully imperfect lives we ALL live, particularly entrepreneurs. This was my third time participating and each time feels a little more vulnerable than before. Something about it is so liberating to just bear it all and tell you guys what’s really up. Each time I’ve participated, the outpour of love and support has been moving. This movement not only allows other women to see they are NOT ALONE, but it also confirms to me that I’M NOT ALONE.
Entrepreneurial Loneliness
Several months back I asked for some topics you were yearning to get support around. One that came up numerous times was entrepreneurial loneliness. When I received this feedback I thought “wow I honestly have never dealt with this and wonder why so many do?” Then a lightbulb went off! Today I want to share with YOU some quick tips on how to kick entrepreneurial loneliness to the curb in your business.

For some, the words SACRIFICE + INVESTING may bring up all types of feels! From fear, to excitement, to yearning, to intimidation, etc. And I will give a WARNING on this one. Some of you may not like me after reading this!! First what I want to say is investing should ONLY feel good. And second, if you want to be a true CEO of your business, you need to work your mindset so that it DOES feel good. Now why? Because the only way to grow + scale your business AND create ease and flow within your business is to make SACRIFICES + INVEST. I know, you probably don’t want to hear the hard truth, but tough love never killed anyone. Let me start by sharing my story of sacrifice + investing.
Take it or Leave it
A few weeks back in a FB Live I introduced you guys to my “take it or leave it” mindset/business motto. This is something I always have believed in, but 100% adopted December 2016. Since owning my coaching business, I have always strived to be unapologetic in my work--showing up exactly as I am. Here is why:
Riding the Waves of Entrepreneurship
Right before I left for maternity I asked you guys to submit some topics you’d like me to teach on. This one was certainly a theme that came up for several of you -----> Riding the Waves of Entrepreneurship. Whether you are in your first or tenth year of business you know exactly what I’m talking about. You could wake up one morning feeling down in the dumps about how your business is {NOT} going, to onboarding a new client + celebrating, to having a long term client decide not to re-sign your monthly retainer, and being back in the dumps! These are what I call “the waves”.
Fear of Success
This week I am feeling called to talk about the Fear of SUCCESS and specificially the TWO most common lies women tell themselves that hold them back from greatness. Now I’m sure many of you are thinking, “how could someone possibly be scared of being successful…..if only I could be successful by now”. As a former psychotherapist, current Confidence + Mindset Coach, and also a HUMAN, I will tell you THIS is a REAL thing.
Customer Service aka Etiquette 101
I like to call this blog post the Customer Service/Etiquette 101 post. As a mindset and confidence coach I get clients coming to me at times reporting burnout. Their business is THRIVING, but their customers or clients are pushing the limits, asking too much of them, requesting refunds, or THEY are even firing their clients. Now when did it have to come to this in our industry where service providers are firing their clients? I’m not saying it shouldn’t happen, but I truly believe there are ways to PREVENT this from needing to happen if you just follow these few pointers I am going to share with you today.
SHARE, Don’t Sell
A few weeks back I published a blog post entitled How to Confidently Book {IDEAL} Clients. It ended up being a hit and I was a bit surprised from the feedback that I received. It turns out that “sharing your services” rather than selling, was something that was foreign to many of the women in this space. In the business world we are constantly told to “SELL SELL SELL. Go out there and GET your customers. Close the sale. Give them the pitch” and so on. What if we just shifted our mindset to rather than “selling”, but sharing the God given gifts we have with those who need them?
